Rebecca Floyd is the Associate Minister for Youth at Green’s Farms Church.  She received her M.Div from Yale Divinity School and her BA from Wellesley College.  Rebecca is passionate about building communities for youth that allow them to be authentic with each other, that encourage them to ask real questions about life and God, and that assure them that they do not walk alone.

How Rebecca describes working with youth: 

“Young people are full members of the congregation, so my philosophy with them is to respect and encourage their ability to participate, ask questions, and grapple with faith and doubt.  Listening to how they experience the challenges as well as the joys of discipleship is key to forming trusting and meaningful relationships with them and to fully involving them in the body of Christ.”

“For me, building relationships with kids and teens has to do with really listening and trying to understand their world and also being willing to translate the conversations about faith and God so that those conversations are relevant to their world.”
