This past August, GFC’s older teens and adults joined up with with Simply Smiles Inc. in Mexico's poorest state of Oaxaca. Over the course of one week (July 31 and returns August 7) this dedicated group helped to construct the "Simply Smiles Center of Operations", spending time with the children of the Casa Hogar Benito Juarez Children's Home, and traveling to a remote village where they helped to build a school located a half-mile walk into the jungle. While this experience was challenging physically, emotionally and spiritually, the church’s presence surely had a profound impact on those in the care of Simply Smiles as well as on the lives of the individual participants.
