Children's Team (Nursery - 5th)
Lynn Rider has served as the Director of Children's Ministry at Green's Farms Church since 2005. As she and her husband, Jeff, moved to new churches with their children Abby, Cal, and Jack, she saw the impact that different kinds of Sunday School had on their experience of church. Working at GFC has been a great opportunity to combine Lynn's academic interests with her passion for providing kids the chance to enjoy coming to church, and to discover a community where their families can grow in faith together. She began her career working with children as a clinical therapist at an outpatient child guidance clinic in Danbury, CT. In addition to holding a Master of Social Work, she also attended Yale University where she received a Master of Divinity.
LaQruishia Gill received her BA from the University of Texas at Arlington in Psychology in May of 2012 and spent the next year working as a Pre-School and Daycare teacher. She is currently a first year graduate student at Yale Divinity School in New Haven, concentrating on Christian Theology. LaQruishia has extensive experience sharing the Christian faith as a Sunday School teacher, with music in worship, and with organizing and leading educational activities and projects with a wide range of age groups. We are excited to have LaQruishia sharing her faith as she teaches our Bible Detectives in Kindergarten and First Grade!
Maureen Fay started Beginnings Infant/Toddler Program in 1983 and has supervised the nursery at GFC on Sunday mornings for several years. A native of White Plains, NY and 31 year resident of Norwalk, Maureen is a graduate of Lake Forest College in Illinois. One of twelve siblings, a mother of three grown children, and grandmother of four, Maureen comes by her love and knowledge of young children naturally! She enjoys nurturing infant development.
Teri Nasi joined the Children's Ministry Team at Green's Farms Church in 2005 and she has been responsible for organizing and overseeing classrooms, closets, and supplies ever since! A native of the Bronx, Teri currently lives in Port Chester, NY, but spends much of her time in Connecticut visiting her children, grandchildren, and great grandson, and welcomes visits from former nursery students and their parents.
