Adult Ministries
There are a number of groups for adults at Green's Farms Church that offer friendship, fun, exploration of our faith, spiritual nurture, and deepening connections to our community. Each group welcomes new participants. Some are small others are large.
We hope to create more small groups to provide even more opportunities
for community life. If you have an idea for a new group please contact
our minister, Jeffrey
Rider.

GFC'S SENIORS
This group meets monthly to enjoy activities together. We meet for
lunch and programs at the church and also travel to nearby sites.
We have visited Sherwood Island, the Aldrich Museum and the
Bridgeport Cabaret Theater. For more information contact
Wayne Balfanz at 762-2063.
SOPHIA'S CIRCLE
Our new, church-wide women's organization formed after our very successful first
Women's Retreat last year at Wisdom House. Sophia is the personification
of Wisdom in the Bible, whose remnants are found in the Wisdom Literature, and
is often replaced by the words, "Logos" and "the Word". We will all learn
a great deal more about Sophia from the Daughters of Wisdom, the Roman Catholic
nuns who run Wisdom House.
Because of the incredible energy and enthusiasm generated by
this retreat, participants requested that more events for women by offered on a
regular basis by GFC. This summer, we had a bike hike In Litchfield, CT
organized by Joan Burgess and Marti Kimberley, as well as a wine and cheese
party at Compo Beach, organized by Gina Orban.
